The Talk For Me app provides a fully customisable yet easy to use grid to point to communicate, with text-to-speech output and image-recognition suggested text, which can always edited.

Start by adding an item by clicking on the plus icon, select "add item" from the menu, then select an image. If the image recognition comes up with a suggestion, and youre happy with the suggestion, youre all set, and can speak the item (make sure mute is off) with the speaker icon. To change text, if the image recognition doesnt work or youre unhappy with the suggestion, you can edit the text by tapping on it. To rearrange the items, press and drag and drop to swap the position of two items. To delete an item, press and hold until the delete button appears, then press delete.

To add a category, click on the plus symbol, select "category" from the menu, and tap on the text to edit the category name. To add items to the category, drag and drop items on top of the category. In the category view, press and hold to bring up the context menu to remove items from the category / delete altogether.

To use the companion watch app, set up items with photos selected on the phone, and/or categories, and ensure that the phone and watch are both logged in to the same iCloud account. Please be patient while the data syncs to the watch app.
